Summer camp isn’t just for kids. In fact, there’s an adventurous “Girlfriends Getaway” weekend August 13-15 for women ages 18 and older. Interested? The annual Becoming an Outdoors Woman camp encourages women to challenge themselves and build self-confidence while learning outdoors skills like shooting pistols and shotguns, rappelling backwards down a climbing wall, canoeing, kayaking, fly-fishing, sliding tree-to-tree and ziplining.
The August event will be held in Prescott, and a $250 fee includes a full weekend of classes, meals, cabin lodging and plenty of camaraderie. Register online at http://azwildlife.org or call 480-644-0077 for more information.
