¡Feliz Cinco de Mayo!

¡Feliz Cinco de Mayo! As a tribute, we thought we’d share the first couple of pages, cover included, of our October 1955 issue of the magazine, which was dedicated to “Mexico’s West Coast Highway” — the highway traveling from Nogales to Guadalajara. In his Editor’s Letter, Raymond Carlson wrote, “We devote our pages this month to a journey down this highway, which in the past has been modernized to the extent of offering comfortable and pleasant motor travel.” He goes on to tell readers that, “The highway reveals Mexico old and new, each with its interesting aspects. . . . R.C.”
