Did you know over 200 bald eagles visit Arizona during the winter?
Now you can learn more about these amazing birds and even see live eagles at this year’s Bald Eagle Workshop this Saturday, February 4, at the Willow Bend Environmental Educational Center in Flagstaff.
There are three presentations, including a Family Presentation, which is geared towards kids ages 4-10 and will give families a chance to learn about eagles together. The other two presentations are for anyone over the age of 11… Biologists from Arizona Game and Fish will talk about bald eagle conservation and management… Pre-registration is required for both.
Besides the scheduled presentations, field trips to observe eagles in the wild are also scheduled (weather permitting, of course)…
“The primary goal of this workshop is to educate people about eagles in Arizona, but also to show the importation of wildlife management and the cooperation involved,” says Arizona GAme and Fish Public Information Officer Shelly Shepherd.
The event is free, but $5 donations will be accepted — and VERY much appreciated — to help cover costs.
