Now, the entire country can toast Arizona’s upcoming Centennial thanks to the U.S. Postal Service’s issuance of a new “Forever” stamp due out in February.
The stamp, which was designed by artist Ed Mell of Phoenix, was unveiled last week during the Best Fest in Prescott. Mell, a native of the state, took three weeks to complete his image of Sedona’s Cathedral Rock. He called the task of designing this special piece of postage, “a great honor,” adding that “it’s one of those bucket list things that artists like to do.”
Well done Mr. Mell!
